Food was ok, missing parts of the meal. Tea was bad, interesting decor but not enough to bring me back

Went in at 7pm for dinner, walked in and was told they were closing 2 hours early, but if we wanted to eat real quick we could only have fried foods. So me and my family left. Very unprofessional to just close early if your slow. Probably a good reason why your slow is because your closing at different times..

It was inexpensive, but just not good at all. It is also dirty.

You can't be happier than sharing BBQ or a hot dog with Elvis and Marilyn! Great prices and excellent food. Why only three stars you ask? It's not fine dining, but it's perfect for us that like something off route for a great price. I've done fine dinning, I prefer places like this!

My brother-in-law had been here a number of times and thought it was a great place. We were very disappointed with our visit, which was for my birthday. At least eight tables came in after we did, ordered their food and got it. We finally asked someone if they could check on our order. We find out the waitress had not placed the order. No apology or anything. Food was delicious but service was not. I truly hope this was an off day because we drove an hour to eat.

Great service, great food, thoroughly enjoyed my 1st trip there. Only 4 stars because there was some cleaning going on and the smell of the chemicals was so strong it made it difficult to enjoy my food.

Food is great, but the service is not. Went during lunch. Only one waitress (short hair/high schooler?) appeared to actually be working and the rest were just standing around. Got the food in an acceptable amount of time. What wasn't okay is physically having to get up to ask at the front for a refill because our drinks were empty for 10 minutes. I won't blame our waitress because she appeared to be the only one doing work in the whole place, but the rest of it is inexcusable. My boss told me the place served good food but the service was bad. That was a year ago so we decided to try the place out. Looks like it will be another year until we go again. Hopefully things will have changed for the better by then.

Good food...

One of the best places to eat in town of Blackstone. My siblings won the Halloween costume contest and was rewarded with two free kids meal. The food was excellent and the prices were even better. The portion sizes were greater than the McDonald's Kids Happy meal and less expensive.

The food was not good and the service was lacking. Only thing I can say good is that one waitress save the day and she wasn't even my waitress.

I am adjusting to some of the taste change of just a small few of their menu items . Still a fan and Missing few of the cooks that are not there or we're not there. As always the cheery waitresses are worth the trip to stop in they make a bad or aggravated day a good day!

1950-1960s style diner with a good location within the city. Food was not good: bland crinkle cut fries, scarce toppings on the two chicken sandwiches, and the strawberry milkshake tasted sweet with no real strawberry flavor. Incorrectly broke down the orders for payment too. No one in our party of four would go back. I'd suggest fast food, Corner Kitchen, or Brew House instead.

Three stars because the food is good. Have gone there twice now and both times they have gotten my order wrong. This time I was the only customer. I asked for and paid for cheese fries. I got plain fries and had to remind them to add cheese to one of the sandwiches. Twice.

Had the wings and fries with chili.. the wings tasted as though they where pre cooked and just put in grease to warm. The chili was just beef no sauce... wouldn't go back for nothing..

It's always a great atmosphere and the food is awesome. I have been going there for years and feel at home everytime I go. Its a great small town diner that I love and one of my favorite hometown spots.

So I see sign says closes at 7pm winter hours... But I got there at 645 and just flat out were bout to close hun sorry.... Lmao. Never again not even willing to try now.... All we wanted was hot dogs n fries but ok👍

Foods great!

Had lunch at the Classic Grill in Blackstone, Va. Nice retro 50's diner feel, but that's where the nice ends. Ordered a hamburger and asked what comes on your hamburger? Nothing, the waitress replied. You have to add your own toppings at a price per selections. Diet Pepsi was flat, and had about 8 chips as a side with my burger. Maybe the recommended livers and gizzards would have been a better choice!

I originally wrote a review a few months back and complained about the menu and the pricing method for burger toppings and the quality of the food. Since then Classic Grill has completely redone their menu and it is a 100% improvement over what it was before. Toppings and a side are now included with burgers. They offer much more of a selection now, with lots of signature burgers and sandwiches, and the new menu items are good. Reasonable prices as well.

Food was great! Service was excellent. The cook prepared my food exactly as I requested, the first time. I stop eating here because I was somewhat dissatisfied. My first time back was a great experience. New staff also.

Just like the name implies, this little grill in the heart of Blackstone reminds me of so many diners of yesteryear. The menu has been expanded since my last visit and there is something for every appetite. The food came quick and was well prepared. If you are looking for a change from fast food fare, this is a great little joint to try.

I've eaten here a few times over the past few years, and it is consistently delicious while offering very fair prices. I always get a burger and fries. The decor and layout are nice. Generally it isn't too busy, even at lunch time, and the wait for food is never too long! Stop by here if you're in town!

Food burger. The burger ess hog and the fries were really hot and good. We also ordered onion rings. Out of this world. Elvis theme is cool as well. The diner is old school and cool. I will be back.
